Sub-Ohm Vaping 101
What is Sub-ohm Vaping?
Simply put, sub-ohm vaping is vaping with an atomizer with coils with a resistance value of less than 1 ohm. This method of vaping should be left to advanced vapers because it is so intricate and takes a lot more experience to do it properly and safely.
A top-notch sub-ohm atomizer hasa larger coil and wick than a standard high resistance one does. Basically, sub-ohming is about more power - more power to spread more heat over a larger area, vaporizing more e-juice in one given moment. This, in turn, produces bigger clouds for those who want to “cloud chase.”
Sub-ohmers enjoy a much more flavorful output for the same reason they blow bigger clouds. The size of the coils produce a more dense vapor with each puff. And as an added bonus, the vapor is warmer. Although many people do not mind a cooler vapor, sub-ohmers like being able to achieve their desired temperature.
Many people who sub-ohm do it as a hobby. They like the challenge of tweaking their mod to their personal specifications, as well as having control over how powerful they can make it. It is a bit time consuming and there is quite a bit to learn (principles of electricity, Ohm’s Law, wattage, etc.) before diving into it. Some may see it as a hassle, while others relish the complexity of it all.
Needless to say, sub-ohm vaping isn’t for everyone. But for those who want to take their vaping to the next level, it can be a creative way of enjoying your premium e-liquid to the fullest.
